Lyric Music Video by: Stephanie O'Byrne

"Something For Me" the latest single from The Ones You Forgot holds an infectious energy and a reminder that self-care is not selfish. This track is their first release in two years and they have not lost any momentum.

The composition of this track is dynamic and very reminiscent of early 2000s pop-rock. Vocals from Jenna Bruno are light and correspond with playful and dynamic instrumentals. This combination keeps the song upbeat and empowering.

In terms of the message, "Something For Me" focuses on breaking away from unhealthy relationships even when it is difficult. Self-love is not selfish and cutting ties with those who are toxic will be better in the long run.

Another power aspect to this release is the official lyric video created by Stephanie O'Bryne. Every illustration and transition were placed to construct a visual flow to the message being told. The color scheme alines with the light and playful instrumentals allowing listeners to be full immersed in everything this track has to offer.

I really am in love with this track. It has been a while since I have sat down and listened to a song that transported me back to my childhood bedroom just dancing around without a care in the world. The Ones You Forgot have reestablished pop-rock into my music line up. They have a powerful energy and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this group.
