New Single: "Secondhand Smoke" by The Real You

Motivational Muses Review | by: Anastasia Logan

Released on: January 22, 2021

"Secondhand Smoke" from The Real You doesn't hold back when it comes to facing the reality of grief. In true pop-punk fashion, this track is packed with emotion because sometimes, headbanging through the tears is the only option.

Let's just say this song ripped out my heart and stomped on it...multiple times. Am I being a bit dramatic? Not at all! “Secondhand Smoke put me on an emotional roller coaster that resulted in me wanting to send a viral hug to vocalist, Dennis Pfieffer who poured his heart out.

Pfieffer shared in an article by New Noise Magazine; he wrote "Secondhand Smoke" after losing his father to lung cancer. Find Beautiful tributes to his father in the corresponding music video created byWyatt Shaffer. Everything from the direction to editing is carefully crafted to amplify the journey of grief. All in all, it’s a work of art!

"Secondhand Smoke" is heart-wrenching but speaks to the openness of The Real You. They are all about transparency, and allowing listeners into such a delicate moment in life exemplifies that practice.

Make sure to give "Secondhand Smoke" a listen today on all music streaming platforms and follow The Real You to stay updated on all upcoming projects!
