susan has come out with a single, “Fake Love." In it, they speak on, well, fake love from people who are supposed to give real love. The cynical sounds make for a distant, yet distinct musical musing.
A synth beat starts this piece out, introducing susan’s cold voice. They sound completely over everything, and it’s hard to blame them. The hard-hitting drum that comes in only solidified the tone. susan is fed up, and everyone will know it by hearing the song. The track’s fast-paced, slightly hyper mood somehow matches the theme of fake love in a stroke of musical genius.
This song hit...almost too close to home. While I don’t typically listen to music like this, the message got to me loud and clear, and, as is typically the case with stellar tracks, I resonated with the message. It seems that these days, we’re all tired of fake love, no matter who it comes from. Susan’s song is a voice for the voiceless. Or, you know, people who are too chicken to say it themselves.
“Fake Love” is the perfect tribute to everyone’s moody side. In a time where it’s easy to feel isolated, susan is here to remind the world that they, too, are sick of things.
